Restoring Law and Order in Memphis

The order directs federal agencies including the Departments of Treasury, War, Justice, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Transportation, Homeland Security, the United States Marshals Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee to establish a Memphis Safe Task Force. The task force's objective is to end street and violent crime in Memphis through various strategies such as hypervigilant policing, aggressive prosecution, complex investigations, financial enforcement, and large-scale law enforcement presence in troubled neighborhoods.
