Realigning United States Core Childhood Vaccine Recommendations with Best Practices from Peer, Developed Countries

The order directs federal agencies to align the United States core childhood vaccine schedule with a scientific assessment comparing U.S. recommendations to peer developed countries and to update the schedule as appropriate. It instructs the CDC and its Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices to review the assessment and latest clinical data and, to the extent permitted by law, revise the childhood and adolescent vaccine schedule while agencies ensure regulations, funding, and coverage conform to the adopted ACIP/CDC schedule and protect parental authority, religious freedom, disability accommodations, and equal protection.
