The National Space Transportation Policy

The memorandum directs federal agencies to expand and improve U.S. space-launch and reentry infrastructure, accommodate government and commercial users, encourage leases and public-private partnerships, expedite permitting and environmental reviews, and establish transparent cost-recovery policies. It sets a goal for national space ranges to support more than 1,000 launches and reentries annually by 2030, while requiring the Secretaries of War and Transportation and NASA to coordinate investments that increase capacity, flexibility, and resilience.
