Honoring the American History of the Great Lakes and Renaming Lake Ontario as Lake America

The executive order renames the body of water currently known as Lake Ontario as Lake America. It directs the Secretary of the Interior, through the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, to formalize the name change and update federal maps, documents, and other references, while encouraging state, local, tribal, and private entities to use the new name.
