Cook made false statements on mortgage documents. The committee must determine whether there is cause for her removal under 12 U.S.C. § 242, may consult the Justice Department, and must hold a closed, in-person hearing at the White House on November 5, 2026, lasting no more than four hours. Governor Cook may submit evidence and a written statement at least three days before the hearing, must appear for questioning, and must comply with document requests.
