Adjusting Certain Delegations Under the Defense Production Act
The order directs federal agencies to amend Defense Production Act delegations so the Secretaries of the Interior and Energy can independently exercise specified energy-related authorities, while the Secretary of Commerce also receives certain authorities involving industrial resources. Energy-related disputes generally go first to the National Energy Dominance Council, but matters involving national defense infrastructure or military operations must also be referred to the National Security Council, with coordination involving the Department of War.
